Today, we shine the spotlight on Scruggs Automotive. When we recently chatted with multi-shop owner and Shop-Ware customer, Jeff Scruggs, he told us how the switch to Shop-Ware’s auto repair software made this New York-based MSO so much more efficient.

Meet Scruggs Automotive

Jeff’s father, Richard Scruggs, founded Scruggs Automotive in 1981. Since then, the shop has prided itself as a family-owned business that delivers honest and professional automotive repair service to the greater Buffalo area.

Upon taking over operations, Jeff opened up their fourth location in Elma, NY to meet the increasing demand for their services. The community-established MSO boasts a staff of ASE-certified technicians. Additionally, it has more than 1,000 five-star reviews and a NAPA Autocare Center certification.

Making the switch to Shop-Ware

Jeff cites Shop-Ware’s seamless service history and advanced analytics tools as the main motivators behind making the switch from his old SMS. Prior to running on Shop-Ware, Jeff didn’t have a good solution that showed him service performed at other locations.

Since they no longer make or field calls, the increase in efficiency for all stores is a “win-win,” Jeff says. Moreover, he says customers are thrilled to see the photos his techs share with them through the SMS. That, in turn, helps boost his positive reviews.

The fact that Shop-Ware is cloud-based means he can work from home. Overall, Jeff has no regrets about upgrading to Shop-Ware.
